Matthew L. Fisher is a film and media composer with nearly 20 years of experience. He loves writing dynamic music that utilizes the orchestra while exploring new flavors and sound to keep things fresh.
Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life
Matthew L. Fisher began composing music by ear on the piano in his late teens by listening to Ludovico Einaudi. Then he learned how to write orchestral/instrumental music by aggressively listening to film scores of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newman, James Horner and so many others. Matthew broke down sobbing listening to Hans Zimmer's "Chevaliers De Sangreal" and knew at that moment he wanted to try and captivate people the same way Zimmer did with that song. His journey with music was pretty unconventional, as he didn't understand hardly any of the theory behind it. However, this shaped him and gave him a unique voice. The types of films his music compliments best have an emotional depth to them. Films and media that carry a struggle while maintaining an underlying hope lend well to much of the music Matthew makes.
